Briana Di Mara has been playing violin since age 6. She was trained in classical music with the Suzuki Method and has since gone on to study a variety of traditional styles including Irish, English, Greek, Turkish, Persian, Afghan and Arabic. She has been influenced by master musicians from all corners of the world, which she harmoniously weaves into her own unique style on the violin.

She has performed and recorded with numerous artists, some of whom include Stellamara, Moh Alileche, Aywah, Diana Strong and Myra Joy, Silk Road Caravan, La Ruya, Faisal Zedan, Gary Haggerty, Melita Silberstein, Dan Cantrell, Rob Rayle, Ali Paris and Daniel Fríes (see discography audio samples). These projects have led her to perform in a wide variety of musical venues, theaters and festivals, captivating audiences across the west coast and beyond.

Her love of teaching music and gratitude for growing up with the Suzuki method led her to become a certified Suzuki instructor, and since 2002 she has enjoyed teaching students of all ages (3 and above) in her private violin studio. Her teaching style is eclectic and energetic and tailors to each student's needs.
She sits on the board of the Suzuki Association of Northern California and is very involved in the diverse music and dance community in the Bay Area.
Briana also produces an annual summer music camp for children, "Fiddle N' Fun".
Additionally, she has been on the teaching staff at Lark Music Camp, Middle Eastern Music and Dance camp, Stringsfest and the prestigious Sierra Music and Arts Institute.
